I apologize if I'm assuming incorrectly, but I was wondering if you knew how you know when you can see someone's auric field? Or aura in general? Again, I don't want to sound inappropriate, but under the influence of marijuana, I started to notice strange, static-y dots of light whizzing back and forth around a friend. They were purple, and glowed more strongly around him than anyone else that was there. I feel drawn to him, and these small lights only confused me further. Can you explain this?

Don’t worry at all you don’t sound inappropriate at all, I am happy to help if I can. From my understanding the way one views the aura of another being or plant varies from person to person. The way my healing teacher explained it to me was this way:
Many people/Lightworkers need to learn to feel with their body first, before being able to see auras. When you practice, try to focus on what you feel in your body, do you sense any particular sensations?, maybe it feels like water waves, maybe like liquid energy. What each chakra feels like, can you feel the color instead of seeing it?. Once you notice “feeling” try to read the energy then you will start seeing it.
That was in response to my question as to how I can see the aura. But I find it relevant here too, because when you see the aura, it’s more about what you feel then what you see. Although it’s about actually “Seeing” the aura, what you feel is important also because one can see with the inner heart, intuition. So if you are seeing this persons aura, or even if you aren't sure, it’s a sure sign your seeing something, maybe even the auric field. Now, since you saw the purple lights more prominent around him, it’s possible that you have a connection with him that is stronger then with others.
Or, another possibility is that perhaps his higherself was trying to communicate something to you since you are perceptive, which ‘may’ explain the reason why you saw colors change every time he thought of a new color. Perhaps they it was a message that there is something special about him that needs to be recognized by him but he isn't noticing. Just a theory though. There is energy and auras around everything but if it is more prominent around him, it’s a heads up that something should be acknowledged :)
